Your entry into automated material transport

Automate.
But where to start?

You want to automate material transport in your production. But which process is suitable – and do you even need a mobile robot for it? We help you find the first sensible step.

Free check · approx. 3 minutes · also without AGV/AMR

Sound familiar?01 / Starting point

“We need to change something. But what first?”

“We want to start, but don't have a concrete process yet.”

First, clarity about your material flows.Find out where recurring transports tie up time today. Your starting point follows from that.

“We have a transport in mind. Is it worth it?”

First, classify the specific transport. How often, how far, with what load? These questions help assess suitability and potential benefit.

“Many vendors. Different recommendations. What fits us?”

First clarify requirements. Then compare vendors.A shared picture of process, environment and goals makes different offers easier to compare.

Your everyday work is the starting point

Where does time get lost today?

Before you compare offers, it's worth looking at the transports between warehouse and production.

01 / RECURRING ROUTES

Always the same route. Always by hand.

Material is transported several times a day between fixed points. Employees spend time driving instead of on their actual tasks.

02 / MISSING CAPACITY

Production waits for supplies.

Transports depend on who has time right now. At peak times, material supply becomes a bottleneck.

03 / UNCERTAIN DECISION

The mandate is clear. The starting point isn't.

“We have to automate.” But process, technology and profitability are still open – and every offer raises new questions.

The best start begins with a suitable process. The right technology follows from it.

The first small step

Find out
where you should start.

The automation check classifies your starting situation. You need neither a finished concept nor robotics expertise for it.

  • 01
    Where do you stand today?
    Your starting point in automation.
  • 02
    What should you clarify first?
The most important question for your next step.
  • 03
How do you move forward sensibly?
Orientation, process review or personal analysis.

A first orientation. Whether a process is technically suitable and pays off, we clarify afterwards based on your data.

The personal next step

Do you want to take a concrete look at your material transport?

openmaind Startklar-CheckYour personal quick check for material transport.

Do you have a transport in mind, or would you like to find out together where a closer look is worthwhile? In the Startklar-Check, we capture your current situation, transport processes and cost structure. You receive a first assessment of your automation potential and a written recommendation for your next step. Vendor-independent and with personal exchange.

  • 01
    Capture the situation:
Understand material transport, processes and cost structure.
  • 02
    Assess the potential:
Classify whether and where automation could be interesting.
  • 03
    Recommend the next step:
A written recommendation for your internal alignment.

Discuss the Startklar-Check in a first call

In the free first call, we clarify whether the package fits your situation. We agree scope and price with you in advance.

For a reliable business case, technology comparison or simulation, a deeper analysis is the next step if needed.

We agree on the date and the hand-over of results with you.

Clarity before investment

From “Where to start?”
to a well-founded next step.

01 / CLASSIFY

Understand your situation

The free online check shows which questions you should answer first.

Your result: a first direction
02 / CLARIFY TOGETHER

Discuss the right starting point

In the free first call with Michael Reip, you clarify which starting point fits you – even without a prior online check.

Your result: a clear next step
03 / CAPTURE THE SITUATION

Capture transport processes If needed

If needed, the Startklar-Check captures your situation and gives you a written recommendation.

Your result: a recommendation
04 / DECIDE WITH DATA

Decide with data If needed

If needed, a deeper analysis (Potential Check) follows: technology comparison, profitability and – where sensible – simulation based on your operating data.

Your result: a basis for decision

You don't have to decide on a manufacturer or a robot today. The path is an orientation, not a mandatory product chain.

Good to know

Your questions before the first step.

What is the openmaind automation check?

The automation check is a free online check with 7 questions that takes about 3 minutes. It classifies your starting situation in material transport and shows which question you should clarify first – even if you do not have any AGVs or AMRs yet.

What does the check cost and what happens afterwards?

The check is free and non-binding. You get a first orientation for your starting point. If it fits, we discuss the next step in a personal conversation, for example a deeper process analysis.

What is the difference between the online check and the Startklar-Check?

The free online check gives you a first orientation in seven questions. In the paid Startklar-Check, we capture your situation together, look at transport processes and cost structure and give you a written recommendation.

Is the first call already the paid Startklar-Check?

No. The first call is free and non-binding. In it we clarify whether and which support makes sense for you. We agree the scope and cost of a Startklar-Check with you in advance.

Does the Startklar-Check already include an ROI calculation?

No. You receive a first assessment of the potential and a recommendation. For a reliable profitability analysis, we need a deeper examination of your operating data.

We don't have any AGVs or AMRs yet. Is this right for us?

Yes. This entry point is explicitly aimed at manufacturing companies looking for orientation first. AGVs and AMRs are mobile robots that can take over material transport. Whether they make sense for your processes is part of the review.

Do we already have to know which process we want to automate?

No. A rough description of your current material transport is enough to start. If you already have a process in mind, we can go into it in more detail.

Do you recommend a specific robot manufacturer?

We look at your requirements independently of any manufacturer. First we clarify the process and the operating conditions. Then it becomes possible to judge which technology fits.

Is the check already a profitability analysis?

No. It gives a first orientation. For a reliable business case we need, among other things, transport frequency, distances, time effort, layout and costs. That follows in a deeper analysis if needed.

Your first step doesn't need
a robot yet.

Start with clarity about your starting situation.
